Abstraksi

Caring behavior is an important element of health care, but many issues still exist. One of which is the lack of knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) during treatment, which has a negative impact on the quality of service to patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with caring behavior at RSI Nashrul Ummah Lamongan. This study used a correlation analytic method with a cross-sectional approach. Cluster random sampling was used to obtain 82 nurses at RSI Nashrul Ummah Lamongan. The data were collected through demographic data, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) knowledge questionnaire, and caring behavior questionnaire. Analysis using the Spearman Rho Test showed a p=0.000 (p<0.05) value and an rs=0.209 value, so H-1 was accepted, indicating a relationship between diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) knowledge level and caring behavior at RSI Nashrul Ummah Lamongan. As a recommendation, it is expected that the hospital could increase DEI knowledge through appropriate training to improve patient caring behavior.
