Abstraksi
This study aims to analyze the influence of performance appraisal and work motivation on employee performance at UD. Sari Bumi Lancar Gresik. The research method employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The entire population of 60 employees at UD. Sari Bumi Lancar served as both the population and sample, utilizing a census technique. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and structured interviews, subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test) via SPSS software. The research results indicate that performance appraisal has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Similarly, work motivation is proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, performance appraisal and work motivation simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) value of 0.719 suggests that 71.9% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by performance appraisal and work motivation, while the remaining 28.1% is accounted for by other variables not included in this study. The contribution of this research is to provide empirical understanding regarding the importance of systematic performance appraisal and effective work motivation in enhancing employee productivity and work quality. The findings are expected to serve as practical guidance for the management of UD. Sari Bumi Lancar Gresik in formulating better human resource management strategies to achieve company objectives.
