Abstraksi

Banyak penderita dermatitis atopik belum memahami pentingnya perawatan luka yang efektif, sehingga proses penyembuhan sering berlangsung lama dan berisiko menimbulkan komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan kecepatan penyembuhan luka antara perawatan menggunakan cairan normal salin dan salep pada pasien dermatitis atopik di Poli Kulit RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Desain penelitian adalah kuasi-eksperimental dengan pendekatan pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group dan time-to-event outcome. Sebanyak 40 responden dipilih secara purposive, terdiri dari 20 orang kelompok perlakuan (normal salin) dan 20 orang kelompok kontrol (salep). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala SCORAD. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U dengan signifikansi p < 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata waktu penyembuhan luka pada kelompok cairan normal salin adalah 8,4 hari, sedangkan kelompok salep 13,05 hari. Uji statistik menunjukkan nilai Z = -3,900 dan p < 0,001, menandakan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Artinya perawatan luka menggunakan cairan normal salin lebih efektif dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka dibandingkan salep. Terapi ini dapat menjadi alternatif sederhana dan aman untuk mempercepat proses penyembuhan luka pada dermatitis atopik. Many individuals with atopic dermatitis lack awareness of the importance of effective wound care, resulting in prolonged healing processes and increased risk of complications. This study aims to determine the difference in wound healing speed between treatments using normal saline solution and ointment in patients with atopic dermatitis at the Dermatology Clinic of RSU Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The research design is quasi-experimental with a pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group approach and a time-to-event outcome. A total of 40 respondents were selected purposively, consisting of 20 individuals in the treatment group (normal saline) and 20 in the control group (ointment). The instrument used was the SCORAD scale. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results showed that the average wound healing time in the normal saline group was 8.4 days, while in the ointment group it was 13.05 days. Statistical analysis yielded a Z value of -3.900 and p < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. This suggests that wound care using normal saline solution is more effective in accelerating wound healing compared to ointment.
