Abstraksi

Burnout syndrome is a condition of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion frequently experienced by nurses due to high workloads and an unsupportive work environment. One factor that may prevent burnout syndrome is the enhancement of the Quality of Nursing Work Life (QNWL), which supports nurses’ well-being and job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between the Quality of Nursing Work Life and burnout syndrome among nurses at Dr. Soegiri Regional General Hospital, Lamongan. This research employed a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 119 nurses selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the QNWL questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS), and analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. The results indicated that the majority of nurses (63.0%) had a good quality of nursing work life, and most (64.7%) experienced a mild level of burnout syndrome. The Spearman Rho test revealed a p-value of <0.001 (p<0.05) and a correlation coefficient (rₛ) of -0.838, indicating a strong negative relationship between the Quality of Nursing Work Life and burnout syndrome. The findings suggest that the better the quality of nursing work life, the lower the level of burnout experienced by nurses. This highlights the importance of healthcare institutions paying attention to the work environment, recognition, and work-life balance to reduce the incidence of burnout.
