Abstraksi
common complication of Diabetes Mellitus is the problem of gangrenous wounds. Gangrene wounds that occur often become long healed due to the selection of inappropriate wound treatments so that the wound becomes long healed. The purpose of the study was to determine the difference between modern wound care and conventional wound treatment for the healing of 2nd degree gangrene wounds in diabetes mellitus patients at the Surgical Poly of RSM Ahmad Dahlan Kediri. Thesis of the S1 Nursing Study Program, Muhammadiyah Lamonagn University" Design This study is Quasy Experiment. The number of samples used was 30 pasients, using purposive sampling techniques, observation of wound healing using BJWAT measuring aids The data analysis used was the Mann Whitney test with an error rate of p<0.05. The results of the study were obtained from 30 pasients, most of which 18 (60%) used modern wound care, most wound healing experienced wound degeneration, which was 16 (53.4%). Based on the results above, the significant value of p sign = 0.000 with a value of Z = -3.966 This means that there is a significant difference between modern wound care and conventional wound care for the healing of 2nd degree gangrene wounds in diabetes mellitus patients at the Surgical Poly of RSM Ahmad Dahlan Kediri.
