Abstraksi
Triage is a process of classifying patients based on the type and severity of their condition. Triage is needed in emergency services so that patients can be treated optimally. The emergency room became the most visited place for patients resulting in a buildup of overcrowded patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of triage implementation when there are overcrowded patients in the emergency room of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Kediri Hospital. The design of this study was descriptive. The number of samples used was 171 patients using purposive sampling techniques and the data of this study were taken using observation. Based on the results of this study, it was found that overcrowding often occurs during daylight sift and most nurses are able to perform triage correctly as many as 98.2% (168 patients) but there are 1.8% (3 patients) who are misplaced during implementation. Nurses can perform triage appropriately because they are supported by experience and Enough skills. To reduce overcrowded conditions, additional manpower, facilities and infrastructure in the emergency room are needed so that services can be more optimal. Keywords: Triage, Overcrowded, IGD
